It has many reliability issues fixed, along with some new features. XML Printer still remains free for personal and non-commercial use.

XML Printer 3.3 has been released today with a new feature: Now you can setup XML Printer to automatically post printed document and all its dependencies to a specified URL for further centralized processing. To keep your data safe, HTTPS is supported as well. Just replace post-processing application executable with an URL and XML Printer will take care of the rest (read more).

Both Parser (when parsing) and Composer (when showing fields) had a bug which caused that second and all successive pages were ignored. This has been fixed in build 135.

If you are using Parser or Composer in your solution you are recommended to update both XML Printer and Composer, those of you not using these utilities can ignore this release.

A new build of XML Printer has been released targeting an issue in Port Monitor causing XML Printer to appear as offline.

We have released XML Printer 3.1 (build 88) fixing some critical issues under Windows Vista.

Version 3.0 of XML Printer did not allow users under Vista to configure the printer port, also the printer itself was not behaving correctly. 

Windows Vista users must run Printer Properties as Administrator in order to change values, otherwise a restricted access error pop-up and changes will be unsaved.

It took us quite some time to bring beta into live release, but we finally made it. 3rd version of XML Printer is out and the best news is that it's FREE.

You can use fully functional version of XML Printer unless you want to use it for commercial purposes. However Composer and Parser have been moved into restricted zone, and are available only to owners of commercial license.

Built on Microsoft's XPS technology, version 3.0 will support PDF and other postscript files that were not supported yet; XML Printer will now print practically anything. Not only that, Composer has gone through complete redesign and acts as a WYSIWYG environment for creating definition files for your documents.

Today, Archae released a new version of XML Printer.

Version 2.4.1 fixes one major issue related to stopping processing documents which occurred occasionally in version 2.4.0. Installation package is available at http://www.xmlprinter.com/?download as new installation (i.e. you need to uninstall existing version before installing the new one).

Archae is proud to announce that XML Printer has been released in its version 2.4.0 enabling network printing, easier version manipulation and most of the bugs being fixed.

Archae has just finished a tool called Parser. Parser is a tool for XML Printer that allows you to extract only the important information from the printed output only by writing a simple definition XML file.

You need only the invoice number and don't need the rest? With Parser it'll be just couple of lines and you have only the required information in the XML file.

XML Printer Parser is now included in every distribution of XML Printer and you can enable and set it up in the XML Printer Setup Utility.

After updating the driver to version 2.3.x, we've completed update on the Document Object Model (DOM) libraries.

Unsupported attributes have been removed and new ones (like clipping, line width, etc.) have been added.

DOM is a set of libraries that will help you integrating output from XML Printer into your application. DOM is available for native C++ or managed .NET languages. Complete documentation of DOM is inside the installation or online.

The printer update comes with new features implemented and many bugs fixed.

New features include: line width for stroked paths, clipping of images and paths, and many others. A minor bug when printing filled paths from Microsoft Word 2003 has been fixed.

Note: Composer tool and DOM have not yet been updated to new version. Please check back for these later.

Archae signed a contract for XML Printer with Equipos, a british company developing a unique product set compromising of document processing, image processing and document management products.

Equipos will use XML Printer driver in their document management system for storing unified documents printed from various applications. After some adaptation of the printer, the contract should be executed this summer.

A new domain for XML Printer has been registered. Now you can find all informations about XML Printer at www.xmlprinter.com.

As of XML Printer version 2.2.2, a Document Object Model (DOM) will be available for every release of XML Printer.

DOM is a library for either native C++ or managed .NET code which helps you with parsing and reading the XML Printer document.

After fixing some bugs is XML Printer 2.2.0 available for download.

Archae is proud to announce that CCH Group a leading provider in accountancy and business management marketplace will be using XML Printer in one of their products.

We are currently customizing a post processing tool for them, that will filter out the redundant elements from the print job.

A new tool for visualising XML Printer output has been launched. You can now see the printed output and analyse fragments of the XML document.

Note: The Composer is still under development and some elements are not drawn correctly. This is not a bug of XML Printer and these issues will be implemented soon.

New version of the XML Printer has been released.A lot of new functionality is included, now the driver can export all visible information printed.

Select the information you want to export, and don't waste space with attributes that you don't need. Optionally you can include full DTD scheme in every exported XML file.
